I see the problem more in the fact, that a lot of publishers try to squeeze out some ad money from every single blank space still left on the page and fill it with third party services where they have no control over the actual booking. It

I worked for the biggest swiss news site, which also had an option to disable ads for a story in the CMS. In this case, it wasn't an acknowledgement that ads are invasive and uncomfortable in general, the problematic ads were those sho

I think people correct the blue to white, since for some reason they mentally assume the picture is taken outside illuminated by daylight where shadows can have a bluish tinge. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow#Color

I'm one of the light blue/gold people and couldn't image seeing black anywhere. But when I look at the picture upside down I see it as blue/gold and when I mask the lower half, as blue/black with a gold touch. http

Pumapunku was built thousands of years after the pyramids in egypt. Plenty of time for banging rocks together to determine which one is the harder and figuring out that using flat stones and sand is great for polishing.

In my opinion phonetics are way underrated in language learning, especially with those learning it on the go while traveling. I always encourage other travelers to focus on pronunciation and getting rid of ones native language accent right

Yes, but consequently, you'd have to pronounce the cities of e.g. Spain and France or the Swiss breakfast invention Müesli correctly as well instead of adapting them to German. In my opinion beeing understood is more important than bee

Since the company name themselves uber without umlauts, there is not really a reason to spell it with ü, it's not a german word anymore. Still, I pronounce uber as über when speaking in german because it does sound idiotic otherwise. S

I would put all messages in variables at the top of the file or even in a separate one and print them in the appropriate places. Having multi line prints in functions add a lot of noise in my opinion. When i read code, i dont normally care

I personally don't like this style of using multiple strings. Makes radical changes of the text cumbersome. I think in most cases it's better to use triple quotes. And if the content of these variables isn't exclusively shown

I can really recommend the open source gitlab for self hosting repos. I have been running it on a ec2 micro instance for 5-10 people over years without a single problem. https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlabhq
