As is your right. It will need to start from the individual level so I will be encouraging everyone around me to limit their exposure to Indian businesses.

neutrality in the face of bigotry seems like alignment, or at least it's a sign of a larger problem which you've very clearly laid out. I think it's time to consider Boycotting, divestment and sanctions of India since it'

It's concerning that YC is funding companies that are so aligned with BJP bigotry that they comply with invasion of privacy requests without a court order.

open source is not just one thing. I think of it like a bunch of tribes loosely operating in amongst each other with some shared tenets (followed as necessary) and their internal own cultures. But that's the same as any organization. I

Maintainers should be given the tools to monetise their projects using a cloud offering early on so they don't burn out on the way to learning what control plane/data plane nomenclature actually is! Unfortunately there are limited

Most of my revenue comes from companies that basically resell my product with some cherry on top specializations for their local markets. I have managed to develop a mechanism (also just the nature of the product) that charge per end user s

You'd be surprised what kind of automations people build on top of WhatsApp. Also, you can use free alternatives to the Twilio API to do more than just text-based automation.

Love this! Thankfully I've managed to get sustainable growth as a solo open source maintainer by offering licenses for advanced features only businesses would need.

I've never pitched any of my OSS projects to VCs. Hope I didn't touch a nerve. Prevalence of MLMs doesn't make any of them any less impractical. Are you doubting that VCs can be victims of their own in-group biases?

I literally print out a mostly pre-filled github link with most repro context, all they have to do is fill the rest of it in. They still don't do it. Nowadays a non-templated bug issue is autoclosed.
