If you are familiar with Go, you're gonna be at home with Zig's standard library in general. `std.io.writer`, `std.io.reader`, `std.io.multiWriter`, etc. are all there and pretty similar to Go's interfaces.

The inverse is also true; I don't have to pay Google or AWS to deploy my software to dedicated consumer devices. The user already paid for it.

interesting; I didn't realize libraries were adding official emscripten ports using the emscripten APIs. That's definitely a level up in my eyes, then.

Zig fits pretty naturally here too. We've got ~19 WebGPU examples[1] which use Dawn natively (no browser support yet), and we build it using Zig's build system so it 'just works' out of the box with zero fuss as long as

Meta has led in the application of ML to computer vision for years now frankly. They have tons and tons of papers on computer vision using ML that are clearly and obviously applicable to metaverse-esque things. (I have no stake in Meta in a

OK that makes sense; so basically if I want to give this a shot then I would just need to read llm_chat.js and the TVM docs, and translate llm_chat.js to my language of choice effectively?

Nice work! I knew it wouldn't be long before someone put this together :) I'm curious if given a different language (like Zig) with WebGPU access if you could easily translate that last-mile of code to execute there or not? In spe

You don't need to be vegan to care about animal rights. I can consume closed-source software and care about FOSS at the same time, do not discard people who are on your side just because they aren't extreme enough for your tastes.

What are your thoughts on the direct descendant, Roc? [0] I know it's pre v0.1 so maybe you don't have any, but as a fellow Elm lover it seems pretty compelling on the surface albeit less directly frontend-dev focused. [0] https:

Closer to 3.5 years now, maybe I'll do an update at 4 years. The 2.5 year initial duration (when I posted that article) was like working two full-time jobs, 100h/week, 80% writing code. Past year has been more like 85h/week,

Yes we'd be better off if cookies were removed. But if it was only Firefox, people would simply add banners saying "Firefox is not supported." since it's only like 3% of marketshare these days.
