They do have a bearing on other rights though. I issued a blanket statement and wanted to make sure to list that there were exceptions.

Great news. Glad this won't be an issue going into the next presidential election. There's been so much time wasted on this issue when, at the end of the day, any 2 consenting adults should have all of the same rights as any other

Short term vs. long term. The immediate short term loss (probably very small) is income from these apps. The long term gain is company image and being known as a company that "does the right thing". There are countless examples of

I've always wondered this. Who would subscribe to a newsletter BEFORE they've read an article on the site?

Not necessarily, before this article I did not know that the range of screen sizes considered IMAX™, was so large. That's a pretty damning detail Ars slipped in there and will definitely make me think twice when going to the movies.

That's a terrible argument. Would you say the same if they only allowed 100kb of data transfer before switching to a throttled service (@ 1/100th the original speed)? What you are doing is allowing them to draw a line in the sand

When they said "investment.interest" I think they meant investment return percentage. I don't think they were advocating for investing on margin and maximizing leverage/risk, but rather deciding whether to put your $ tow

You're conflating the start times of meetings with the start of your personal work day. Sure, no one cares if you come in at 10:25 because you're still going to make the 10:30 meeting. You're not making anyone wait for you...

It's already rare in San Francisco. The only difference now between taking a taxi vs uber is convenience and price. Those are admittedly huge factors, but without the clean vehicles and personable drivers they started out with, my bran

It makes sense that not all items can be delivered. They still have to retain their profit margins. As automation ramps up and demand for services like this ramps up, the overhead for the markets will go down and it will be easier to offer
