The OAuth2 RFC and almost every associated guide on the Internet was way too vague for me to understand, but reading the OIDC spec was amazing, makes things very clear.

I mean before you become a wealthy society part of the reason you have children is because they can help support the family. They work the farm, or the family shop, or whatever. Both of my parents grew up poor, both in America and elsewhere

Oh I definitely agree with you in principle. I just think that 1) the price tag is inflated in the first place 2) at many income levels that are too high to qualify for aid, $70k per child per year still really stings and I can understand

I worked in a financial aid office for some time. There are thresholds and guidelines, but in my experience financial aid officers have a lot of flexibility and discretion. They look at the complete picture, including assets, number of othe

Seems like an inoffensive way to get your name out to devs and/or decision makers who largely think Twilio is the only option. Twilio resells commodity product (SIP/SMS) at Saas margins by offering good developer experience and -

Jira truly takes the cake for world's most over engineered website. I wonder how much of the world's coal and gas has been consumed by browsers struggling under the load of Jira.

That might explain why all but the top line version of the barely-refreshed 13+ MacBook Pro are missing Intel's 10th-gen processors. Sandbag the upgrade for the 13" so it's not that desirable and you won't cannibalize yo

Especially when you watch the press conferences you can practically see the mayors’ puppet strings being pulled by the police chief standing next to them. Chicago was exactly the same. They know who the real power is.

Traditional non-professional espresso knowledge will often tell you that the espresso has to be packed super tight. These results showed me that I could keep it loose and use less grounds and it's fine. Probably saving a decent amount

The "just quit and work elsewhere" argument comes up every time on Hacker News. Maybe they think the company can be a force for good or at least not evil, but it's not living up to that or taking advantage of its opportunity?

This is not true at all, I regularly rent Airbnbs in major American cities for less than a quarter of what a basic hotel room would cost in the same location. The AirBnbs are a lot larger and nicer too. It gets even better when you split th

That's definitely a theme that Matt Levine touches on a lot, especially when he talks about the WeWork and Uber IPOs: basically in the private VC market, your investors either pass on the investment, or they invest. They cannot short.
