In the US there are very strong fraud protections for credit cards, but a debit card is just unfettered access to your bank account. For safety reasons I never use a debit card for anything but an ATM.

It drives me crazy that it shards your photos all over the place in opaquely named directories so you can’t actually find anything without its database index. Photoprism is the best one I’ve found that will just take and index your folders

CI is shell scripts as a service. There is no safe way to use it. AI does it a lot faster and ignores rules even harder than humans do, but it's not the root problem here.

Agreed, I left Fastmail for Proton and am very happy with it. It improves/changes in fits and starts sometimes, but support is always great and overall I am happy with the usability, direction, pricing, etc. I do wish ProtonMail handle

Kagi is still by far the best results for me, particularly for engineering content and worth every dollar. DuckDuckGo results are even more frustrating than the currently-terrible version of Google for finding good information IMO.

I also love the ability to prioritize domains. I push docs.rs up because otherwise I often get the crates.io page which I never want. And I push GitHub/GitLab/Codeberg sites up so I get actual repos instead of product pages.
