The problem is this: What if I don't have an account, but somebody still happens to tag my face with my name, for whatever reason? I know that this is mostly about facebook users, but seeing how much facebook spam I get trying to incite me

I'm not so sure. FunnyJunk does need attention to be successful, but more than that, it needs participation. There has been considerable dissent in the FJ community and if that mounts, it could easily kill the necessary critical mass you ne

Ouch, you're absolutely right. This was also what I was thinking as I watched the ads - "Great, so my old strategy is useless now?". How quick one forgets... ;-)

It is a typical strategy of Apple to slightly underspec desirable aspects of a product like hard drive capacity or RAM (...or ports - sigh ). That way, they can release an updated version where those specs are bumped, resulting in a pr

"Efficiency in general describes the extent to which time or effort is well used for the intended task or purpose." Comparatively high cost is the main factor why it is still be considered less efficient although that is slowly changing.

The reason why you're being downvoted is because your argument is weak and, frankly, your tone is annoying. > Do you KNOW what YOUR country's public debt is? > not a single dime goes to roads, health or education You cannot claim

Since they asked for 20k, I have real doubts they made a good business calculation. Especially if they note that "PayPal and Amazon take their portions" - I'm pretty sure that Kickstarter tells you to adjust for that. Had they received only

That highly depends on what line of business we are talking about. In some "new" jobs like Design or even Programming it may be true. But the meat of the German Economy - the part that is highly influenced by unions - is far away from that.

As the country with the fourth largest nominal GDP [1], we are doing quite well, thank you, although we have to work a little harder to deal with all that "innovation" that came from the US before and in 2008. Look, I'm not saying that the

Just off the top of my head - I frequently pay more than is asked on Bandcamp and Humble Bundle. I once paid $20 for an mp3 of a song to its artist, even though it was readily available on youtube.

That may or may not add to the problem, yes, I'm not an expert in that area. If I was forced to guess, though, I would still say that most of the money influx comes from corporations.

Phew, I'm not sure whether I even have to respond to that non sequitur. Obviously I'm not a big corporation and obviously we're talking about tax loopholes here, not paying extra taxes on top of what you owe.
