That video also seems to be a pretty good way to demonstrate the limits of lossy video encoding.

From his history, it seems like he came over during dongle/fork-gate. (edit: Not sure about the downvote - was just wondering myself how such a comment ends up on HN.)

I've been wondering that as well. Am I missing out on some premium reserve of frustration? I really gotta try harder to feel disenfranchised.

I have a number of problems with this. First off - the project itself is just not worth the effort in my opinion. There are a lot of email clients already in the FOSS world and most of them are pretty good. Not perfect, sure, maybe lacking

This ushers in a new era of annoying and pointless "This website prevents right clicks" popups. Just the other day I said to my coworker everybody, by now, knew how to use firebug/inspector (he disagreed and, being in support, he does see m

That does not address what the post you're replying to stated: That PPS is a more trustworthy metric than PPC. The user is rarely, if ever, asked in this - it's all tracking.

Sure, you can check out some of my stuff on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/sk0re It's somewhat mixed, but there is a good amount of ambient stuff in there as well. (Also note that almost all of it - except for the one remix - is CC li

True, but it would still be debatable to what extend the service would be as useful as the USPS if it was "economical". Today, though, it is more likely to be somewhat decent, so that is debatable as well, but not so when the postal syste

There are things that make sense to socialize, others - not so much. Conjuring up a weird one that makes little sense isn't a proper argument, it's a straw man. Being able to send mail is a basic skill required to participate in society - t
