Xbox 360 used a PowerPC instruction set. It would seem unlikely that emulation could be efficient enough to have it work reliably good and fast.

My girlfriend is a big fan of both kittens and cupcakes. This would be perfect for her, too bad it’s not in Amsterdam. Over the summer Uber had some cool stuff here. You could hire a boat with friends, and the ice cream truck of course.

I’ve only been into it since ~2005 (Tiger) when Cocoa itself was quite mature, but Objective-C has gone through a great transformation over that time. There used to be so much boilerplate in declaring and defining properties and keeping tra

I tried using Windows 8 with a TV and it’s almost there but not quite – if they fix a few things it would be perfect: - At 720p you cannot run Windows Store apps (needs to be 768 minimum) - At 1080p much of the UI is too small. You can incr

My understanding is that one of the original ideas behind Android and its API levels was that anyone could implement the Android API to run Android apps. Doing exactly this to build a simulator would seem an obvious step. No virtualisation

Is a UK company less likely to give your data away? I thought the UK government was also in on the spying. Really, is there any company or government that you can genuinely trust not to spy on you, or to hand over your data?

You don’t account for the physical and mental benefits the exercise gives you. Take look at [0] for example, which suggests that life expectancy is actually higher for cyclists. 0: http://www.cyclehelmets.org/1185.html

I agree, but here it’s backed up with evidence. Maybe the concerns are irrelevant in three years time with more advancements in hardware (though the author addresses that), the points made are valid.

It looks like Windows 8.1 will be solving many of the issues people have been having with Windows 8. On the other hand, it’s such a shame that they’ve made Modern UI a walled-off platform. The PC’s biggest strength has always been how democ

I see where you’re coming from but honestly the Roku remote feels pretty good to me. It’s not too thin like the Apple remote, the round back feels great in the hand, the buttons are good, and it’s a dead simple layout.
