I agree, there's so much about the brain we don't understand, plus whole sections overlap or process multiple sources. Nothing is simple in the brain! In terms of the amount of your grain required or dedicated to each input this s

You have, at birth, around 3,500 auditory hair cells per ear ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_cell ), so 7000 inputs to process for sound. Sure your brain does a lot with that information to project a 3D sound fiel

For me, it's not about the sound. A clean record played with a quality stylus sounds about the same as a digital recording. However, you get a physical copy with full-size artwork, and it's a chance to support the artist directly.

Heating isn't a problem, cooling is. Most aircraft use "bleed air" from the compressor on the engine. That air is extremely hot (>150°C), so it requires a lot of cooling. Aircraft air conditioners are known as "packs&

Not entirely. For many centuries singular ‘they’ had been used when gender is uncertain or unknown. In the last hundred years or so some (primarily American) language teachers decided that singular ‘they’ was wrong and adopted ‘he/she’

As someone who lives in an area without water and sewerage services anything to reduce water consumption is a bonus, especially if it's biodegradable. Sure, a flush is only 3-4 litres but that could make the difference in a dry summer.

When I was shopping for a dryer I compared the running costs of heat pump dryers, condenser dryers and a regular waste-the-hot-air dryer. The payback time for energy efficiency was around 2,500 loads for condenser and 4,000 loads for heatpu
