This is one of those religious debates that will never die as long as the web exists in a similar capacity as it does, today. The fact of the matter—whether we like it or not—is that these are the tools we have for web development. It'

I have a Chromecast as well and—prior to purchasing the Roku—used that when I traveled. The reason I replaced it was because of the purpose it was designed to serve and how I was using it. A Chromecast is a remote viewport, not generally a

Anecdotally—noting I'm probably not the typical consumer—the fact that they mentioned the specs is a big plus for me. I travel with a Roku Streaming Stick (plus a small travel router) as it's a great way to use Plex and others fro

To add a similar experience, I've seen 8 attempts—5 (all unique origins) on the 25th, 3 (same origin) on the 26th. This on an effectively zero traffic machine.

A couple of data points: American Express sent me a new card—unprovoked—about two months ago that is chipped. As mentioned elsewhere, it is a chip and signature card (as opposed to a chip and pin). I'm nothing particularly special as a

All of those points are precisely what React addresses. The virtual DOM determines which mutations are necessary and performs only those, batched. It also reuses DOM nodes as appropriate. DOM nodes can even be keyed against data in the case

You might not need them but consider this for a moment: When I was a kid, there was a boy in my class who was mute. He carried a chalkboard and flashcards to facilitate communication. Eventually, he was chosen to pilot a device that was sor

Your "what textter's are saying" has an issue. The `hover` pseudo-selector doesn't apply when on a child element. As a result, that section turns green when hovering over the containing div but not when hovering over the

I preordered a kevo as soon as it was announced. I liked the look of it more than the comparable devices at the time and I liked that it was supported by an established lock manufacturer. I eventually cancelled my preorder because, after th

The --depth flag has been around for a long time but, previously, came with a number of limitations (cannot push from, pull from, or clone from a shallow clone). As of 1.9.0, those limitations have been removed. https://github.co

I'm glad that you said, "can be" because language flexibility is a two way street. You can abuse dynamic typing for good and for evil. I, personally, don't think that's a case for declaring it not worthwhile, rather

Regarding losing data: it's as simple as diving into the reflog. In order to remove something from your history, you must do so very explicitly by walking your commit history, editing each one. There is an automated workflow to accompl
