With C++20 and the std::invocable concept, is there still much reason to use std::function?

Julia is dynamically typed, but if the compiler can deduce the type of your expressions, it will usually generate specialized code that avoids dynamic dispatch. Getting rid of type instability (as it is called) is usually one of the first t

There are some claims that Gradle builds way faster than maven. I personally witnessed at my last job (usual Spring Boot, Hibernate stack), that the builds were indeed way faster after migrating to Gradle, but then the Maven configuration h

Yes, I had something mixed up here - you are completely right about CSR matrices, they should not use more memory than an adjacency list.

I don't know much about graph neural networks although it is a topic that I want to study in the next few months. But what bothered me in your article is what you wrote about graph data structures. NetworkX is indeed very slow, this is

Is there some survey/list somewhere which of these topics are still relevant today, might have a comeback in the future or are definitely a thing of the past? A lot of these topics where somehow mentioned in some of my ml courses at un

There is another Julia package called Revise.jl : https://github.com/timholy/Revise.jl When loading Revise.jl in a Julia REPL session, it keeps track of all packages loaded afterwards and if the code is changed in one

I once had a stopover on a flight and was told that I was not allowed to use my phone in the plane as they where currently refueling. I am still skeptical if my phone would really be able to cause some hazard.

Kitty's ability to display is quite fun (although it is definitely not the first terminal editor to do so). A while ago I hacked a Julia package together so that functions that emit an image (for example a plot that would usually be di

Some thing I was wondering about this kind of architecture, how would you express some constrains, like foreign key constraints or unique key constraint? Would they still be in the database, or would you put them into some inner layer?

Still, the more well known graph libraries seem to avoid Nauty, probably because it is not that easy to implement. From a quick search: - NetworkX: VF2 - JGraphT: VF2 and some newer algorithm called "color refinement algorithm" -

No, graph libraries usually relay on some variation of VF2 and maybe (but I haven't checked) in some cases on the more complicated nauty/traces algorithms.

Have you thought about contributing to some open source software? It depends on the project, but often after you submit your code, you will get a code review. And you probably will also learn something about testing.

How about an option for restricting sugar intake? I tried your website with a diet of 1500 kcal and the suggestions are roughly twice the recommended daily amount (which is around 30g, I think).
