They're the actual nicknames. Back some thirty years ago, people were still named using Thai words like "Daeng" (Red), "Kai" (Chicken), "Noi" (Small), "Nam" (Water), while a Thai-Chinese family m

I think the Microsoft's one may have been based on Clarity Boost[1] rather than Chromium's VpSuperResolution since there's still no AMD implementation in Chromium[0], but Edge VSR does support AMD cards. A fun anecdote here i

Anecdotal: in one of the Japanese companies I've worked at, we had to do a Japanese-speaking-only follow-up after every meeting with the global team, as the majority of the team were relying on a machine translator. Every so often this

FWIW, addition of MetalFX upscaling (comparable to DLSS/FSR 2) in Ventura has been a nice surprise and one of the biggest development on Mac gaming in recent memory. Digital Foundry did some review of MetalFX in Resident Evil Village[1

That doesn't sound right. Codeweavers has been shipping fairly recent version of DXVK alongside with MoltenVK since CrossOver 20. On community side there's Gcenx/DXVK-macOS[1] that patched DXVK to work with some of Apple GPU

Personally, I found the opposite to be true. Given more and more applications require constantly polling backend server (not only social apps, e.g. a TODO list, note-taking application, a time tracker, etc.) I much more prefer this behavior

Thank you for such a great tool. I've recently migrated from one server to another server in different contenient via `zfs send | zfs recv` (using hrmpf), and `generate-zbm` inside the chroot was all I need to get it working again.

The problem is, ZFS support on GRUB2 hasn't been great, partly due to CDDL/GPL licensing incompatibility requiring lots of ZFS internals to be re-implemented in GRUB. This resulted in issues such as grub-probe unable to detect ZFS

I believe OP is referring to the fact Factorio has some optimization on Linux such as using fork() to autosave (which is copy-on-write unlike its Windows counterpart), which result in zero-stuttering during auto-save for large-SPM bases.

IIRC, this depends on the card brand. Attempting to do 3-D Secure with non-enrolled JCB/Visa cards should result in a liability shift, AMEX/Diners only records the attempt, and MasterCard does not offload liability in such cases.

Judging from your screenshot, this is part of the 3-D Secure[1] process. WLP-ACS is not a payment processor but rather an Access Control Server (ACS) that your bank uses. Ideally, this page should reside under the bank's domain name, a
