100% agree. It's almost like Wall-E was written about Australia in 50 years time. The irony being that 30% of the population was born outside of Australia with a decent part of that in countries which have experienced recent hard times

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. In my anecdotal experience, people don't care about politics here and will most likely vote on either "I'd rather have a beer with X than Y so I'll vote for X" or "they&#

I've lived in Australia for 10 years and really considering my familys future in this country. We are sleep-walking towards a very average future. An undiversified export economy, out of control house prices, a job-market primarily foc

I’m in a similar situation except I’m still in a HOCL city (Sydney) and it’s really starting to grind on me. What do you like about Brisbane?

PHM is excellent. Dark Matter by Blake Crouch is also a good read. Fast paced and interesting ideas.

Have you read The Expanse? No love triangles and excellent sci-fi/political ideas of the near future of space exploration.

Feels like that chart is slightly misleading - it’s easy for credit card debt to appear to be low when there are so many high value mortgages. $20k CC debt is only 2% of the value of a $1m mortgage.

A Sales Engineer role may be a better fit. It’s a great combination for someone with good tech skills and business acumen. In every SE role I had I still had to code so it’s a good way to dip you toes in without going all in.
