Really interesting to get some perspective on how Avalanche worked before I joined the Stockholm tools team, right around as JC4 was being wrapped up. The few peeks I got at the Python editor code gave me nightmares and I was very happy to

I don't care for Deus Ex, but looking at the screenshots I struggle to tell which one is the remaster. It's very clear that they messed up the lighting and the overall mood though. I'd be offended as a fan.

It sounds like a straight up lie. Third party apps have always been able to record from microphones, and the live translation doesn't work without a connection to its app. They're just annoyed that they have to share their private

Or putting a huge play button covering it when paused. Or taking painfully long to fade-out the UI after pressing play... The list goes on.

I agree. I wish they focused more on it. I'd love to be able to give it a few sentences of instructions to make it even more effective for me. It's so much more of a productivity boon than all the coding agent stuff ever was.

This is the one thing keeping me from switching from Cursor. I much prefer Zed in every other way. Exciting!

It's especially clear in the "inline dict" example. I really like it! props:: mime_type: "text/html", encoding: "gzip" # Inline dict.

Every time I need to browse to a specific path I have to google it, because there is no path input anywhere. (It's Shift+Cmd+G of course)

Neat project, but what does this do differently than docker compose with the --host flag? https://docs.docker.com/reference/cli/docker/#host It uploads your whole local docker context, source code and all, bu

I like my curved ultra-wide. I didn't at first, but my brain has very noticeably adapted to where curved things on it appear straight just fine. I noticed this when I went back to the office after a few weeks absence, where I have a re

iPod games in all honor, but none of these games beat jailbreaking your 1st gen iPod nano, dual-booting whatever OS and playing the Half-Life 1 DOOM Wad on it. My only regret in life is exchanging it for the 6th gen when Apple did a recall

It is quite telling when they boast about the battery life of the other models, but the Air is just "All day battery life", and then immediately announce their magsafe power bank 20 seconds later in the broadcast!

This is the stuff of nightmares. You have vibe-coded 50k lines of Python over 250 hours, but you can't articulate what it does or how it does it without having the same AI read the code back and describe it to you? Like your LLM said,

Yeah, with that kind of markup you might as well just buy new ones IF they break, or just spend the extra budget on better quality parts. Just having to pick a very specific motherboard that probably is very much not optimal for your build

This doesn't track to me. People have been irrationally afraid of things since the dawn of time, based purely on hearsay (see religion). And surely even the simplest of language serves to warn about unseen dangers. Entering the MRI roo

This doesn't seem ready for real use. Testing it right now, is miles slower than Cursor for simple edits in the AI panel, and behaves in what seems to be a broken way. I gave up after it started to type out my entire file from scratch

I was trying to figure this out too. It seems like you need to sign up for their "Zed Pro" subscription for it to work at all, and nothing indicates this anywhere. It just appears broken. Not the best first impression.

I mirror this sentiment. Even their "function calling" abstraction still hallucinates parameters and schema, and the JSON schema itself is clearly way too verbose and breaks down completely if you feed it anything more complex tha
