If you are looking for an alternative to Fusion 360, I can recommend OnShape. They also offer a free for makers style account where all your models are public and non-commercial. It is professional CAD and works great, parametric and all. I

Slack allows my colleagues to chock it full of multi-megabyte animated gifs and cat images, but VSCode so far doesn't. I'm not surprised that Slack's memory use tends to explode.

Nope. The file search uses `ripgrep` which is written in Rust. But that is it as far as I know.

I tried to use Windows Docker with the WSL2 back-end and the impression I got was that it was for people wanting to run scripts on windows which then run docker things. What I just wanted was scripts running on Linux which then did docker t

The goals of WSL2 compared to VirtualBox or HyperV are: * Lower memory use * Tighter integration with networking. i.e. it looks like it is running on localhost. * Start/stops on demand, and much faster. * (easier) file system integrati

It is hard to tell how Pyright and Mypy compare head to head. I've been using Pyright for quite a long time and have seen the huge leaps forward it has made. The experience feels a lot like how I remember PyCharm from a few years ago.

Visually it doesn't look so good out of the box. Are there some extra styles or libraries etc out there which implement good looking styles on top of Dear ImGui? Or are dev expected to put their own style on top of it?

There are limitations to which keyboard shortcuts are available to an application running in a terminal. And those limitations often vary per terminal. In other word: It ain't that easy.

There are a lot more than just Vim fans who are reading that section of the readme. Either way, it is fair to clearly state where the project stands regarding the modal style interaction vis-à-vis Vim.

But there are also a lot of people who _don't_ like the modal nature of Vim too. Ox not being modal is then one of its main advantages over Vim in that case.
