Did they really just try to define "amount pledged" as different from "amount the end user actually pays" so they can say "well now you always get 95% of amount pledged" but, of course, not 95% of what the user

Unless Jekyll has changed a lot, using themes is a major pain. Since Jekyll doesn't enforce any particular structure, there's no way to have drop-in themes. Using a new theme is really about cloning a theme and then re-writing y

You could try TDD katas (see http://osherove.com/tdd-kata-1/ for a starting point). For me, the value in this practice is becoming hyper-proficient with your chosen development environment, not neccesarily learning TD

I was wondering if I was the only one who thought the book was terrible. Once I made it past the first third (it was tough, but I didn't pay for the book so I just read it on my phone when I was bored) I was able to enjoy it for what

I guess what I was trying to say, in general, was that since SC2 required less micromanagement of your macro (auto-harvesting, etc), players had more free time to spend on unit tactics. In GSL season 2, MarineKing showed that stimmed marine

Yes, very nitpicky. MarineKingPrime didn't invent marine micro but he was known for it/popularized in the early GSL seasons before it became a standard tactic. SlayerS (the team) dominated MLG Anaheim with blue flame hellions an

The API Blizzard is exposing is really nice. Sadly most of the advantages AI had in SC1 were just due to the fact that an automated process could micro-manage the tasks the game didn't automate for you (a lot of boring, repetitive wor

Ok, not democratic in that each person doesn't have an equal voice, but democratic in that anyone could buy some twitter botnet time and get their own message out.

Distribution of propaganda by bots is at least sort-of democratic. I wish there was more analysis of the automated suppression of news by the various platforms (twitter, facebook et al).

NFL players are probably compensated the worst out of the 4 major US sports. That's just in terms of what they get paid and doesn't even look at the total package of the risk they expose themselves to in terms of chronic injury,
