The thing always got mentioned whenever Ghostery is brought up is that they were owned by an advertising company that sold user data. I wonder how Cliqz plans to make this a profitable venture (besides being another Mozilla charity case)?

Does anyone have suggestions or best practices for using facebook securely (ie to maintain an account but not let it be linked w/ all of your other browsing activities)? I was thinking something like hosting a hardened/non-finger

I like this idea (a sort of adnauseum for facebook) but I wonder how trivial it would be for facebook to filter out obviously random/fake/noisy data given the mammoth set of real data they already have. Maybe introduce some more

I feel like this would be better if it didn't click every ad, but had some sort of method (even if it was random) to pick ads.

The great thing about anonymous comments is you can use them to justify any behaviour you want.

I like the idea but sadly I'm sure it's more of a marketing effort than an actual platform. I've been saddened to not be able to find social media marketplaces that provide an actual twitter platform (ie programmable). All

This is the same rule change that says if you use a VPN or TOR you can legally be hacked by the FBI, yes? I wonder if people who use work VPNs will be exempted since afaik the wording is about services that obscure your location, and most

Doesn't Eataly have various vendors so there's no guarantee that you're getting espresso from the right one? I'm going to be vacationing in the area soon and getting good espresso is on my list.

Don't chrome extensions automatically update themselves? Assuming no permissions are changed I think they do. It would be nice if there was some sort of version pinning. After some investigating, this extension doesn't have an u
