There is absolutely no excuse for using that video to market Autopilot/FSD (it's still the main feature on tesla.com/autopilot). The driver is clearly not just there for legal reasons. Given that the video is a few years old

Hard roads and highways are ones where lots of cars need to change lanes in not much space. For example sections where entrances are quickly followed by exits always end up with more hard braking.

Yeah there's plenty trying. Tesla Semi is going for L2, TuSimple and Waymo Via among others are trying L4.

That is obviously what was intended with that tweet. Such a Trump-like thing to do

I think it's spot on that they want the regulators to block them now. Without that there's two options at this point, either they tell all the drivers they're not good enough, i.e. only 100-score ones get FSD for now, or the

Yes. And if you look at even the rosiest FSD beta videos online you know it's nowhere near as good at driving as a human, yet people always come into these threads talking about how if it's better than humans it should be used and

Tesla fandom is such a bizarre phenomenon. It's weird that a corporation can become such a big part of their customers' identity that they rabidly go after anything negative.

It's been covered a million times, but Tesla's reporting is useless. It's apples to oranges comparison for marketing purposes. I wish we had more third party data.

That's the goal of autonomous vehicles. Not autopilot. Surprisingly, not "full self driving" either. In both of those you have to be fully alert because the car can do something very dumb any moment. FSD and autopilot on high

I think Tesla is kind of counting on regulators to step in at this point after promising to open it up for good drivers who paid for FSD in 2 weeks. Otherwise they face the choice of a lot of bad press from FSD accidents which will definite

Everything about FSD is truly mindblowing. They sold the product but are not letting most users get the version that tries to be autonomous (and thank god for that). It won't be available to most of these people on the car they purchas
