Think of how much more focused the Autopilot team is by releasing completely unsafe software and trying to fix it before regulators get their act together. Death driven development.

My reason for using chrome is I don't mind it. I think I'm less suspicious of Google than most of HN. They don't allow extensions on mobile though

The reason Firefox is higher is probably because it's the easiest one to block ads on mobile. Most people I know who use Firefox on mobile do so specifically to have ublock origin. I personally use chrome on desktop but Firefox on mobi

FSD beta 9 which 1) you have to pay 10k for and 2) only a few dozen people are eligible for. Seems like if this is a real problem they should fix in the product that everyone has or stop people from using it

It's the requirements that kind of bubble up from very far away in a large org that cause the most stress. Almost no one wants their reports or close colleagues to feel inundated and always scrambling but in a big org it's still r

It's interesting the number of comments I've seen since it launched many months ago that completely ignore that this has been deployed somewhere without safety drivers. However unimpressive you find the geofence/HD maps/

Not sure if you are honestly asking or just expressing skepticism but right now it's clearly robotaxis then trucks. They've talked about the rest but much less. As far as expansion plans there's no reason to think each place

How is what Waymo offering anything like a souped up cruise control? Sure it's EXTREMELY limited but that doesn't seem like an accurate description since they trust it enough to be liable for it to drive by itself or stop safely w

Someone asked about this at the AI day. There won't be ugrades, Musk said that HW1 will be full self driving, just not as good at it as HW2 same way not everyone is equally good at driving.
