Are you aware that land use authority is delegated to cities by the state and can be un-delegated if the state so chooses? What are you going to do, secede from California? Good luck.

These advocacy groups have written and passed many bills improving land use in the state and continue to do so. Check out the legislation page: http://cayimby.org/2021-legislation/

There are many avenues for enforcement, including and up to the state taking over the city's land use powers if they are unable to comply with state law. At that point, California could issue permits to build.

Hamasaki takes sides and works with prolific accounts over any salient prog vs. mod local political issue. The fact that the topic in the screenshot had to do with the BOE recall specifically is pretty irrelevant. He had probably been haras

My comment was about Hamasaki being a liar and online harasser and doesn’t have anything to do with policy positions.

John Hamasaki is a criminal defense attorney in San Francisco who was a former member of the police commission. He seems to advertise himself by being intentionally incendiary, making up lies like the police get paid overtime to participate

You’re comparing incomparable values. San Jose house prices are high because you can’t amortize the land costs. Square foot by square foot, Manhattan land is far more expensive than San Jose. Chicago land may appear cheaper, but it’s only b

It’s not a pretty loose or arbitrary standard. For example, it’s a key basis on which data sharing is regulated. The claim that it’s a weak enough definition that it doesn’t matter is inconsistent with criticism that it’s a definition which

Not sure what you’re referring to, and I doubt they’ve said they consider 3rd party app data as fair game for their own advertising targeting without invoking targeting.

Your reference or comment doesn’t disprove my point, but with the way you wrote it, it seems like you think it does? When they say unrelated, they mean offered by different providers, not of different purposes.

I think you’re trying to argue Apple’s definition is contrived, but I don’t see it. Buying identifiable information from a poorly regulated data market is very unlike personalizing ads based on first party data. Apple isn’t trying particula

The analogy isn’t particularly applicable. If you engaged with many Walmart stores and they recorded that, it wouldn’t be tracking. If a Walmart agent followed you into Target and recorded what you did, it would be. The Facebook pixel and o
