I can't even begin to empathise with what heroin withdrawal must feel like. Back when I was going through a really rough spot, I sought solace in food and became quite the, uh, chunky chap. When I realised the destructive path I was headed

I also believe the world has tended to conflate talent discovery with the talent quantity, because historically, talent discovery was up to a select few gatekeepers (like record labels and publishers), who could (or would) only showcase a s

I could eat (and have done so as well) a simple cheese sandwich (slice of cheese, few veggies between two slices of bread) for lunch all the time. When I lived by myself for a little over a year, I was quite happy with this arrangement. As

As long as we're throwing buzzwords around, why not [self post plug alert!] switch over to Analytics Syndication Services? I've envisioned it as a paradigm shift to align your core competencies. http://tech.theswamp.in/post/2013/04/01/anal

Eh? The title is "To Kill a Mockingbird", and not "How To Kill a Mockingbird". The title derives from this line in the story (paraphrasing from memory here): "Kill all the bluejays you want, but remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." E

I may be in the minority here, but I actually think most changes to the Gmail interface have been improvements. My biggest gripe was when they did the overall visual refresh, which reduced the information density on my small laptop screen.

That's because Outlook uses MS Word internally for email composition and rendering. Earlier (Outlook 2003), it used to be obvious and also configurable. Now you're stuck using it with all its quirks and annoyances. (Yes, I'm not a fan..)

I can vouch for this. I use a Blackberry wall-wart type charger for my Pi, and it's been rock solid. I only power it down it when I'm off travelling someplace for more than a day. pi@raspberrypi ~ $ uptime 10:58:03 up 17 days, 13
