Sounds interesting, and I was about to sign up for a free account to give it a whirl until I saw that the basic (and even some paid) accounts have no security. I know that some well-known companies get away with this, but to me it says that

Sudden acceleration is more likely to result in a (deadly?) crash for drivers with little experience Very few people, regardless of how long they've been driving, ever get experience with uncontrolled sudden acceleration.

Here in the US, if not specifically set up otherwise, my wife would automatically get my shares Your heirs (or anybody else you wanted to designate in your will) would get them even if you weren't married.

Unfortunately, even a significant market share may not be enough to get good hardware support. OSX has a sizable chunk of the market, and there's still missing support from a lot of hardware vendors, especially when it comes to lower price

So long as your relationship with the company is pleasant, the "proper" notice to give depends on the specifics of the position and could be longer than 2 weeks. It's polite to give enough time so that you can transition your responsibilit

And, in my personal experience, in every case (excepting video cards) where I've had a choice between native OS support and a vendor provided driver, the vendor software is far worse - buggy, ugly, obtrusive, and usually stuffed with multip

Hence the "knowingly bought" qualifier. I sure agree that you ought to be able to expect your fair use when you drop your cash, but unfortunately the days are long since past when that's been the case for anything content related.

Maybe, but it's hard to feel sorry for anyone who knowingly bought into the deal. I will, on very rare occasions, purchase DRM'd products, but when I do I know full well it's my own darn fault if I end up losing access to them.

So far as I know ideas can't be stolen. Nor can they be protected as intellectual property in the U.S., according to the USPTO: "A patent cannot be obtained upon a mere idea or suggestion."

IMO there's something wrong with the incumbent defending his turf this way . If they want to out-innovate or out-compete the guy, great, but I personally find it hard to back a business who only aims to win by out-lawyering their rivals.
