I don't think that extent of achievements equals heroism. History is filled with enormously productive people we judge very poorly for theirs.

In this space, probably the biggest effect might be that HW vendors of DJ kit cannot fork this software to bundle with their HW and avoid sharing their improvements back, so people using other HW can still benefit.

If you buy a Prusa in non-kit form, it's not any harder to unbox or operate, and more reliable, while generally achieving somewhat better results. Without phoning home and while maintaining the software Bambu forked theirs from. A rece

Not sure, I think this is a bit daft from a marketing POV. It was an iconic, recognizable differentiator, and is the sort of thing that makes people tell the story of your brand. Other brands would kill to have a legacy, especially in a spa

These days you need a CPU, a GPU, a NPU and a TPU (not Tensor, but Teams Processing Unit). In my case, the TPU is a seperate Mac that also does Outlook, and the real work gets done on the Linux laptop. I refer to this as the airgap to prote

Seems like a witch hunt to me. OP's history is relatively diverse, and the comments are not lacking in content or argument. Having opinions is not a vile "ulterior motive".

Yep, no contest. Compared to the sterile, boring, brooding Villeneuve version - a tone that worked well in Blade Runner 2049 however - it's so much more entertaining and interesting.

This is such a bizarre comment for me. If you strip that "momentous occasion for humanity" from its human component, then how is it a worthwhile historical document?

I remember Corel Linux! It was the first Linux I ever used, from a PC magazine CD in 1999. A significantly hacked-up KDE 1.1 w/ integrated Wine. To this day, you can find Corel in the copyright dialogs of a few notable KDE apps, e.g. t

My one weird kimchi fusion experiment that's worked out beyond all reason was making a classic cheese-crusted German pasta casserole with kimchi in the mix ... it's so addicting it probably needs to be regulated.

I think this is actually an outdated link. Modern SteamOS is based on Arch Linux, this refers to the old Debian-based OS from the "Steam Machines" era. Looks like this will get a refresh, though, as per my other comment.
