It's not about me subsidizing others, I understand how insurance works it's about disproportionate risk. There isn't an emphasis on creating change in society to encourage people to live lifestyles that needlessly expose them to risk, and b

I found this article really interesting but the author didn't talk about promoting wellness which seems to be a very taboo topic in the U.S. I'm vegan (which reduces heart disease and cancer risks), I don't smoke and I exercise moderately.

This is a really interesting article. The author(1) looks at the reasoning behind healthcare rationing and suggests that it isn't as bad as it appears. Essentially he suggests that it's easy to find media-friendly stories of how rationing h

The author does point out in the article that those pills cost less in Britain (for example) because the market is based around the "cost-effectiveness" of treatments. As such many treatments are cheaper in order to come in under the limit

Slightly off-topic, but, was I the only person slightly disturbed about the rant about the 3D printers being American made machines? Maybe it's because I'm British (living in SF) but I still find that kind of patriotism smacks more of jingo

I'd thought about building this but threw it out when I figured I couldn't get my various devices to talk through it to Twitter. Computer, sure that's easy: fix your host to api.twitter.com, but fixing all the iPhone apps to point to this s
