I don't understand why media, such as BBC, keep uploading heavily compressed versions of photos that could be beautiful. The original has grain, sure but that's not a problem. The BBC version is horrific. Are they trying to save

Seems like it. Which is serious but far from what I thought when I read the title. I suspect 90% of LinkedIn users don't even have a single browser extension installed.

Have a look at the old Astrovan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronaut_transfer_van#/media/... It's not the new one though. But you'll enjoy this one more.

Not even close. If you want to run this on PC's you need to get a GPU like 5090 but that's still not the same cost per token, and it will be less reliable and use a lot more power. Right now the Apple Silicon machines are the most

In Claude Code's /usage it just hangs. I can't even see what my limits are, which is weird. Maybe a bug? I can't imagine I'm close to my limits though, I'm on Max 20x plan, using Opus 4.6.

In your opinion, is there a better option than Spring Boot right now in the Java ecosystem? For what it does, at least. I know there are a lot of libraries and frameworks out there but not all are as complete as Spring Boot.

Definitely an upgrade over iptables. I kinda miss ipchains though.

nftables syntax is pretty tough to read. I wonder why they didn't go for an easier to read DSL. I do understand it's likely super fast to parse though, and has a 1:1 relationship to its struct in the kernel.

I hear you, but there's genuine excitement still about Spring Boot and related technologies. See [1] Spring Cloud. [1] https://spring.io/projects/spring-cloud

Fair enough. If OmniFish can properly support it and help it continuously develop it will have potential for adoption by even those using Spring.

Unfortunately the name Glassfish has been pretty tainted by now. If you say your platform is based on Glassfish they'll automatically assume you're an old donkey not up to date on latest Java technologies like Spring Boot.

Surely Zig can also be invoked using any CI/CD flow running on a remote machine too.

Because if you consider each state to be a "country"... these states didn't sign up so that they could be swallowed up by another state having a very high population growth. That said, California is generating more GDP so obv

Yes it's fair that it has more to a degree, but North Dakota can't have literally proportional since it will completely swallowed up on Congress. How does this work in the US?

I like FreeCAD but I use it so rarely that I forget how to use it by the time I need it again. So I returned to Fusion 360 (for the time being). Maybe this new FreeCAD version is easier to use?

I get it.. my question wasn't exactly what I meant to ask. I meant isn't there some kind of compensating factor. So that a country with a 100 million doesn't completely and utterly outshine a small country of 4 million, even

Is that fair? Ireland should surely have a say the same way Germany does in parliament too, if it's affecting Ireland just as much. If one considers countries as units.

My favorite was Mojave. Ran it way too long and I was 3-4 releases behind. Second fave was Panther, the good ol' days. Never did much System 8 etc but we had it in school on one of the Mac labs.

Agree the icons are unnecessary and silly. Apple should know better. The corners haven't bothered me much, I like seeing a bit of a gap down there, and I haven't had issues dragging it but that could be because I'm using a re
