This is so cool, there's nothing I love to read about more than someone spending insane amounts of time hacking some old piece of hardware that even when done will be completely useless in the modern era, for no other reason than "

Same here. I was a relentless script kiddy who flunked out of grade 10 because of undiagnosed ASD, but having “tech skills” in the early 90s meant I had no problem finding random IT jobs and working up to a career in Gov IT. I remember hitt

I use a Dactyl Manuform every day, mounted to the arms of my chair like OP, and it’s been one of the better investments I’ve made in my setup in a long time. I can sit typing a lot longer than I used to be able to without back/wrist pa

An actual Espressif ESP32, or the Arduino Feather variant if you want QUIK connectors for most sensors (if you can’t solder etc, or want to use plugs to make it serviceable). Both are cheaper than this yet are the same thing.

For fans of the game, Reubs on YouTube[0] has been remaking the entire game and all its assets using modern engine/tools/etc. It’ll obviously (but regrettably) never get released to the general public, but it’s fun to watch and se

I only got into Godot when 4.0 came out, but I’ll try 3.5 and see how it goes. Thanks for the tip.

I don't do VR, but I've seen some videos on YT showing people do VR stuff in Godot so it "works", but I'm not sure how well.

I recently switched almost entirely from Unity to Godot 4.0 (not a career game dev, I just make small/indie/itch.io type stuff) and I've been absolutely loving it. It's such a breath of fresh air. It's light, fast,

Whenever I've done lists like this, I make the first-load randomise but give the user options to reorder the list in various ways (alphabetical asc/desc, latest activity, etc). I think that's the best way to stop too-blatant

Most of the large subs I see in this list haven’t actually “moved”. These new sites linked have very little (if any) content and the subs themselves are still very active. Some of them seem legit, but a majority of what I clicked seem like

Yeah we’ve got ~20 or so of the Ikea ones and we do love them, but a few have chipped in that way. They’re still amazing for the price though considering how thick they are and how heat/cold/etc resistant they are. Many other bran
