It's that time of year when your business (or spouse) needs a few hundred address labels printed. If you were like me, you dreaded having to mail merge, deal with spreadsheets, tinker with CUPS label printer settings, or Avery sheets.

Ask yourself: What is the best hardware on the planet with the worst software? LABEL PRINTING I realized a few years ago that, if my clients fired me, I’d have to go get a “real job.” My expertise has been Industrial Internet of Things (IIO

I’m an indie dev that wrote a useful Electron app for designing and printing labels (both rolls and sheets), data import, rendering batches of images, etc. My competition is either free (DYMO/Brother) or $500 commercial software for ex

Does anyone know if there’s a need for better label printing integration? I noticed Shopify’s docs specifically mention DYMO printers and they discontinued Zebra printer support. That seems crazy to me. I’m a solo dev that’s built a desktop

Hey, thanks! I didn't grow up dreaming of becoming a label printer app expert, but here I am... at your service. I'm glad to be here for you. Please reach out (via Label LIVE support) if you have any questions/comments.

I'm ramen profitable at this point. Sales are increasing each month. And yes, one person operation. There are only a few players in this market, and their solutions cost upwards of $500 per license, plus yearly support/maintenance

The tooling has become insanely good, so long as you trust the shoulders of the giants you’re standing on. For example, a month ago the Electron team introduced a bug that made my Microsoft Store app think it was outside the store. The user

Yep, Label LIVE uses fabric. It’s all wrapped in a React app that syncs state with redux, and app state elsewhere (e.g. user design files saved to disk).

No. The whole idea of the fold-in was to be the opposite of a fold-out (playboy). In MAD, the folded out asks a question or poses a riddle. Folding-in provides the answer and laughter.

This is so tough and I’m still trying to figure it out. A few years ago I built an MVP label printer app on Electron/React using all sorts of native node modules for a seamless design and print experience. I support dithered images, to

I’ve always used “days are long, years are short” to talk about raising children. Pulling our two year old out of daycare makes you really reflect on how slowly time moves for them when their only concerns seems to be legos and applesauce.
