I didn't say for free, I don't think anything is or should be free. We have "the phone company" equivalent on the internet (registrars and hosts) denying access to ideologies they don't approve of. If you don't

"The internet" has "other people's infrastructure" built in to its very fabric. You cannot have the internet without other people's infrastructure, whether in 1995 or 2022.

I don't like it. I mean, I like the principle of it. I'm glad everyone gets to say what they want. I don't think we should change that. What I think is stupid is when we have someone with a literal Forrest Gump IQ debating fa

Domain registrars and webhosts are canceling accounts based on content, so no, not anyone can use the internet to communicate.

Just have a user preference toggle. Infinite scrolling IMO is part of the dark patterns that are attempting to collect all of your attention. Having the mental break of waiting for a new page load is a significant change for me--I'm wa

On first read of the title I thought it was about TES: Oblivion, from which I thought I was sorta one of the weird collectors. I have a coin from the empire, I think it came with a box set / special edition. It could be from Morrowind,

I get irrationally angry when the news reports on what people tweeted. Sometimes they're literally anonymous, unsourced one-line opinions. I've seen articles that were collections of these, passed as commentary on politics or the

I travel 17 hours by car for the same reasons, plus the freedom of having my car when I'm there. I also often bring things with me, or back with me, that I wouldn't be able to do on a plane (like a kayak). If you have people to vi

I killed 83 and I mostly sided with the majority. I sometimes also assigned blame to those tied up, or at least agency; they could have prevented this situation, somehow, probably.

Interesting. Ours used some dos32.bas-style interaction with the AOL 5.0 client during their de-facto sign up process. > started with a capital letter Fixed that for you. We had an lcase exploit, of course.
