I'd maybe start with Django, a web framework for Python. Here's some screencasts, and it's easy to google for more, or search youtube: http://neckbeardrepublic.com/screencasts/ You will also find the Dja

You really need to ask a better question. I realize English isn't your first language, and that's okay, but include some details like what language you're interested in, what types of projects you intend to build (web, mobile

Ever think you're doing it wrong? An established competitor guarantees there's a market. You'll just have to do it better than they do.

To be clear: your position is that SO needs moderators who don't downvote "cunt" because it's not offensive enough? Anyway, doesn't matter--throwing insults, weak or strong, deserves downvotes. I don't understa

I literally can't image the person, tech savvy or not, who would come up with DrRacket here. Or prolog. I agree with GP that its' just blind googling.

apparently I pissed off one of the moderators (when asking him why is my question "off-topic") No, apparently you pissed off all of the moderators when you called them all dick-sucking cunts. You must be a really special dude t

It's not strictly value to society. It's not a measure of personal worth, either. It's how much profit your work generates for the company.

Happy for what reason? I've dated two women over a long period of time, part of the time with, and part of the time without, a hormonal implant. They both had drastic changes in mood, in my opinion for the worse, with the implant in. D

I do not find the green of Italy indistinguishable from the blues. Maybe you should take a color-blind test (seriously, not being a jackass).

The information is lost in the sense that it's in the original, and not in the lossy version. Whether or not you can hear it, the information is gone.

My point is, either she was saying it ironically or she was saying it seriously. She can't possibly have said it seriously. Was it a somewhat insensitive joke? Sure. But you can't take the statement at face value.

That's weird, I'm the opposite--I read HN specifically for the comments. It's not true for articles like this, which I generally don't read. But when the link is a programming article expressing an opinion on _______, I

The difference in .99 and 4.99 is--non-existent, really, for the vast majority of end-users. If it's useful enough for you to spend all your time building it, and I'm in the same position as you, it's probably worth $20/
