This is the type of thing that requires government action. Without it this story will repeat many times, it’s Hollywood now, tomorrow it’ll be music artists, video game sound artists etc. Better to pass a law to make it illegal or opt in wo

Perhaps I should have been clearer. I meant the EU, not Europe the people/culture collective. And I certainly wasn’t referencing to a collapse or something, I hope it never comes to that. I don’t think there is a lot of clarity on wher

The article is pretty spot on. It is the very fundamental structure of Europe that will never let it be a sovereign force ala US. Europe in the end was an American project and is simply untenable without US support, granted US had its own g

This is like the third incident in the last year. Indian government seems to be sleeping at the wheel. ITT the surprise inspection is absolutely a must. The government should step up, the negative consequences for people and industry are ve

This is great news, just anecdotally I have personally seen 3 large factories come up in my state in the last 2 years. All related to EVs and battery supply chain but still quite the pace.

spez is a comically bad CEO. This should not have been this complicated, if they wanted to kill 3P apps they could have just said that. This is a very Reddit thread () way of handling this!

Lot of potential.Beautifully designed. I can see it selling a million a year. Questioned that before but I can see enough demand for 1M units a year. Could be an iPad level business if they keep miniaturizing it.

Mass adoption seems questionable but boy there is so much potential here, in bespoke work settings like health, media, manufacturing and simulation training. Might end up being revolutionary as a work device.

I agrée, I also did not have that impression from what I could tell. This is really bad. All talk about demographic dividends and such are moot when such stupidity is ushered in and allowed to prevail. They may be squandering a real opportu

I tend to agree, a related concern that I share is with CBDC, programmable money would truly be a dystopian thing. I don’t this some tangible things should go away, cash is a firm contract and it should remain that way.

The core problem MS has is that, it is bad at studio management and simply does not have the same creative vision. Hence the playbook of buying big studios. If they can fix that they’d be fine. Using Sony as a comparison is not ideal, Sony

MS cannot possibly do this, it would mean giving up any business with NATO. It’s insane to me that a game studio acquisition gets such emotionally charged responses.

UK isn’t the same as Europe (politics aside) I’m saying in regulatory terms so Sony leadership staying in Europe has no impact. Europe is doing is it’s own investigation and is slated to actually approve the merger. https://www.t

Would love to get more insight into what happened in the design phase? Besides the construction contractor who was the architect, why aren’t they being sued?

Waste is typically stored on site after it has been entombed in concrete. So it will be stored on-site not in a secondary spot. That is until if ever they are able to get Yucca mountain going again.

This is great news. Although disappointing how long it took. Still hoping for a nuclear resurgence. Between this and all the EV factories coming online in GA, GA will have quite the impact on climate goals.
