That's only because these models are all pretty much the same (?) in terms of architecture, and basically do the same thing. New features, like memory, medium-term planning, and iterating towards a design goal, won't be imitatable

Scientists and "put up or shut up" people optimize for diff things. People who get results, in my experience, do the right things but don't usually have correct explanations. Part of it is the subconscious figuring out what w

Honestly I believe in this kind of shit (lines on the forehead). It's basically the holographic principle for black holes (?), that all the information inside is readable from just examining the surface. And there would be an absolutel

As with all these articles, the title and main premise are misguided and/or imaginary, but there are some worthwhile nuggets. The superposition of possible attitudes is a good one. Even if that's not the way LLMs "actually&qu

Some writing excludes the author. It might be dispassionate + precise, or observational, or hazy + removed. This is not that. It's opinionated life advice. Engaging seriously with the content requires asking "Who are you, and why

What gets my goat is all the self-aggrandizement. Drinking bad, coding good? As a non-drinking coder, that sounds hella gay. I like the impulse of "do things, improve" and the positive attitude, but it overpromises and is light on

Yeah, computation time is a resource. Can be seen in some starcraft matches, where attention is being juggled and distributed as much as actual armies. Feels like there's some low-hanging fruit there, it hasn't been studied nearly

Autism literally means "inward-turned" or "self-focused", so not a lot of mental space for shared attention there in the first place.

One reason why online meetings suck so much! I can't look at the camera and people at the same time, there's no real way to make eye contact.
