This is something that the old freshmeat.net site would do. It was a great place to see releases of software all in one place. I'm sad that it's gone.

Weebly has built-in integrations to Getty Images where you can license photos from their library. Is that what you're asking for?

It's pretty hard to make sweeping statements about Swiss sentiment considering what a fractured state it is politically.

DHH would beg to differ with you. He's stated a few times that he's a successful entrepreneur because of the Danish social safety net (and the taxes that pay for it).

Close and shorten the pain loop as much as possible. If it causes availability pain, it should inflict pain on those who caused it. If the developer wrote terrible code, the developer should be paged when the code/stack/framework

This probably comes from Ubisoft's French roots. It sounds like a very French attitude to take towards being called after hours (which is illegal there). I like that they do this for you; good on them!

Ehh I think you're a bit unreasonable. Even LCD displays take a few seconds to turn on. Power on any recent LCD from cold and it takes a while to boot. Resuming from a S3 state (or whatever the LCD equivalent is) even takes a second or

Considering that it replaced a TV from 2005, I'd wager yes. 4K will probably be the last big consumer TV tech push until we get cybernetic implants for eyes. You can't see a difference from 4K to 8K at under 100" screen sizes

I realize it's quite fashionable to bash "smart TV's" in this thread, but I've got a Sony 2016 Bravia and love it. It runs Android TV and has the usual stuff via Android app store (Netflix, Plex, etc). It has built-

Why not just make an iPhone case that has a carve-out for the payment card? That way you can use your payment card and not need your phone, too (like going outdoors, to the beach, etc). I ask because I've already seen iPhone cases like

Most layer 7 blocking mechanisms look for the SNI header in a TLS datagram or the host header. It's not complicated and trivial to do. Only looking at the host header would be quite amateurish. I'm not a security expert, and even
