I'm not sure what the point of your post is as it's unrelated to the comment it's in reply to. But aside from that fact, be careful to avoid confusing price increases due to shortages and price increases due to speculation about perceived c

That's not true. A wrongful termination suit can be brought against any employer. Employment law is handled on a state by state basis. In most states, once an employee has worked for someone for 90 days, termination without documentation of

I agree that incumbents don't like disruptive innovation (in general), but who says that a) Apple wouldn't mind as they've in general done a phenomenal job of interrupting themselves before others have had the chance over the last twenty ye

This comment is interesting, because when the iPad first was announced, I had a lot of people give me the "oversized iPod" line and I tried to explain that even just significantly increasing screen real estate was enough to open the device

This is going to be incredibly interesting to see what happens starting tomorrow for the remainder of the trading week. From a business perspective, this company is hardly worth its 4.5$ billion valuation. However, I have a theory that we'r

It's average now, slightly better than a base Comcast connection, but that's about it. (I can compare directly since I lived on campus two years and off the last two). I suppose it would depend on what you were doing that would make it matt

I honestly can't believe this guy is a financial reporter and doesn't know the difference between TARP and the stimulus. I'm sorry, but you can't argue that he works in startups as an excuse to have misunderstandings about major macroeconom

While I agree that such a conversation is irrelevant to this post, I would say that in certain cases we are pretty close to locking people up en masse and forcing them to live in fairly abominable circumstances albeit not death camps.

I can see your point, but would argue there is a difference. Small independent game designers can at least approach studios for money to fund/produce their game. Composers, playwrights, and artists don't have an equivalent body to turn to.

This is a huge mistake. I don't want to argue that videogames can never be art, but in general, no matter how good they look, they aren't (Radio is also highly suspect on this list). The problem is that "the arts" (in a more traditional sen
