I’m personally on the fence with this issue, and using the term ‘fascism’ in this case is extremely pejorative. But... People calling for laws to regulate things like this bothers me. Where does it lead? As the GP posited, there is competit

You are, doesn't mean it's correct. Look at it this way. It's been happening for a while, on multiple platforms, where other software isn't exhibiting the problem, applying Occam's razor suggests the issue lies wi

It is, but when it affects all OSs and the offending software is using its own UI stack, it’s the app, not the OS.

Anicdata: in my experience, this is genuinely a Firefox issue. Happens to me in Windows and Linux too.

All that does is put the incompetence into smaller business units, spreads it out and magnifies the incompetence, and actually makes it harder to regulate. Happened in the UK.

I looked into this about 3 years ago. Architectural firms are in a unique position - they generally have SMB requirements for the majority of their needs, except data storage. I had ~24Tb of data, ~18Tb of which were Revit/AutoCAD file

Apple’s behaviour is irrelevant in this instance. It has nothing to do with the situation being discussed. Your second paragraph, while containing the seed of facts, is total hyperbole. It certainly isn’t worse than refusing to acknowledge

Apple offer that. I accept the preference and arguments for an open system etc and the distrust of a global corp., but the support lifespan of an iOS device has more recently been ~5 years.

So, you are aguing that NVidia constantly messing up when Apple have used them in good faith as a supplier, followed by the subsequent denial of problems even existing by NVIdia and their refusal to accept any culpability (see Bumpgate),

Can we stop misusing words? A ‘monopolist’ does not have a market share of 20%. It makes any argument you have farcical. Competition? If we leave it to the banks we will have a slow, anti-privacy, insecure mess. I deal with banks in the cyb

You're moving the goalposts massively. No one is claiming that the first gen iPhone outsold anything or anyone. More importantly, that data is for 2006, the N95, of which you claim everyone and their dog knew about, didn't become

That’s a rather simplistic view of things. The long and the short of it is this; it’s not Apple’s responsibility to to ensure Adobe’s software runs on their platform, it’s Adobe’s and Adobe no longer support CS6.
