I've been subscribing to The Atlantic for years. It is entirely targeted at upperclass, liberal, college-educated whites. Which is exactly why I read it. Why would I read a magazine targeted at a culture I don't understand or am n

You are missing the point: it is endemic to the culture. It has nothing to do with personal choice. It's like blaming a sexual assault victim for what they wear: that's not the issue, it is toxic masculinity that is the problem, e

Why does that even matter? Or do you just assume everyone is a Javascript programmer? If I say "need" people will tell me it's my fault and to change jobs. If I say "want" people will tell me it's my fault and

8-to-5 is 45 hours a week. I'm still in the office, even for lunch. Considering travel, it bumps up to 50 hrs/week. I hate how this 10-hour "work tax" is always dismissed as part of 40 hour work week.

How do you convert from Ed25519 to X25519 when certain bits have been masked off the MSB range? Do you mean X25519 -> Ed25519 or am I misunderstanding?

I was told by a friend who has ~$30k of ether sitting in there either as ether or GUSD, I don't know which, we haven't talked about it since the crash for obvious reasons. It is on their website, but you have enlightened me: it wo

GitHub always freaks out at me when I include text that even looks like a PEM cert. Too bad they can't scan for AWS key / secret variables too.

One downside is that you now have a much higher bar for hiring talent to do trivial things. If you don't understand FP at a fundemental level, you will have a hard time finding people to work on your systems. Junior/Senior enginee

I expected farm-pest-control robots to look more like the ones in the film "Runaway" (1984) than a big laser turret you drag over a field.

It is not a crypto library, it is an Ed25519 EdDSA library. It has nothing else in it apparently. WolfCrypt is a better solution and is FIPS certified. EDIT: I didn't know what GIMLI was.

Every point you make is completely valid. The debate over file formats, and efforts to preserve file formats algorithmically (ON PAPER LOLOLOL) is a crisis historians are raising red flags about all over the place. To give you an example, a
