Fwiw, you can use long polling for LiveView if you wanted. That could completely remove websockets as everything happens over http. Hotwire will benefit from caching better than LiveView, because frames are distinct URLs. But I haven't

It doesn't turn your pie making company into a SaaS product. All of the back-office, sales, marketing, relations can be kept in SFDC (cloud SaaS) though. The reason I don't call it a sales lead tool is that is about 10% of their u

I don't equate codify and automate. That's sometimes a piece of it (automating state changes), but more specifically I'm thinking about all of the validations, human processes, etc that go into customer and sales management.

Yea, the only SFDC stuff I've seen is the postgres-sfdc connector. Which is fine as it's kept as an add-on and away from the core experience.

Salesforce is not a sales lead tool, it's a way to codify your sales and marketing processes into a SaaS product. To me, it becomes obvious that it's a platform then, because users need integrations to properly codify their busine

I've always considered data isolation as the #1 priority when it comes to tenancy. Does that mean that the sharding should defacto be done on the tenant ID?

Clarifying comment: I have used this in an extension that integrates with Salesforce. I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

There's a lot that goes into it. Can you help guide the question a bit more and I'll be happy to give it a go?

Webext redux is one of my favorite libraries. I've built some great stuff with it (and its predecessor). One use case is to create a single page app feel on websites that aren't single page. We use it in Salesforce, specifically.

Thanks for taking it a step further. I didn't think about that perspective but I could see it playing out that way.

Thinking through this more. I've noticed that a lot of drivers work both Uber and Lyft (flexibility allows this). Would that go away in the employee model?

You can't say that the first amendment doesn't apply to companies when the law has found that it does. You can say that you believe it shouldn't, but legally today it does.

Just to be really clear, you're free to do what you want. And I don't care what you do. What I don't feel is correct is to institute policy based on things that the CDC says are not effective enough to determine policy. Or to
