Yes the biggest drawback to DOOM is the gore. The gameplay is superb though. I would love to see a non-gore FPS using the id Tech 6 engine. What I love about Overwatch is the art style. The cartoon design and lack of gore makes it much mo

I apologise for the rather crap title but in keeping with HN policy I kept it as close to the article title as possible (shortened only due to 80 character HN title limit). Personally I would have used something like - "British student

DOOM 2016 is indeed a super fun game. It is exactly what I wanted it to be as a DOOM game. Pretty shallow (in a good way) with stunning visuals and no slow down. Overwatch is also a superb FPS although very different. 2016 has been a good

I didn't read what GP wrote as those "bad" people deserve to die (nobody deserves to die IMHO but that is another subject) but that it is not the hardcore, everyday drug users who die but the average-kid-nextdoor who is exper

Fedora is my choice for desktop Linux. It works great. If GNOME isn't your thing then almost every other DE is available in RPMFusion. Overall I find it nicer to work in Fedora than Ubuntu fwiw.

Indeed. I am not a massive Apple fan but they deserve credit for how open they are about their diagnostics collection options during initial setup. There don't try and trick the user with "custom settings" like on Windows.

To be fair Microsoft had support documentation on how to disabled and remove GWX correctly and most of the third party tools were overly aggressive and did not follow the documented process. They were basically watchmen programs that look

I am not too sure how I feel about this. On the one hand I do think Apple (and many other companies) should pay more taxes. However on the other hand Ireland enticed many big companies to their country on the promise of lower tax. You can&#

That is just life as an employee though. If you want to get the lions share of that increase you need to start your own business and then you can split the profit how you want.
