Try a less clear cut debate topic. One where intuition works against you. Like the wave of anti-trans legislation and framing of our mere existence as grooming in red states. It's much harder to see the outright wrongness and evil. It&

Half of editing is deleting superfluous words. But also, sometimes adding a few "dead weight" phrases can make text feel easier to comprehend.

I still prefer a product that works independent of needing to sign in (and share a bunch of data, some of it biometric), but I'm glad they fixed the google-like ban blast radius at least.

I'm not saying we shouldn't. I'm saying that's the status quo, and changing people on this level is much harder than a policy that simply says "you must have an underrepresented person in this batch of interview inv

VR 7-8 years ago wasn't gated behind a store and large EULA, and the people in charge hadn't announced their intent to not just monopolize and monetize social VR spaces, but also workspaces. There was still reason to be excited an

Have you ever been involved with hiring? The first stage - reading CVs - is not exactly the greatest point in time to judge people as individuals, if they're even read beyond a short skim. It is the biggest opportunity for unconscious

Disadvantage is not solely based on wealth, though it does play a large part. If you presuppose that giving disadvantaged groups an extra chance is a positive (your argument sort of does already) and only use wealth as a factor, isn't

Does it have to? Humans are really bad at being rational actors. The fact that some groups are less represented is a source of bias on its own. They can still be sorted out if they don't meet hiring standards in the second step, where

As someone who has spent time on Vincent's mumble years ago, he is definitely at least fascist adjacent. And his use of slurs is by no means ironic, unless you want to claim he is ironic 100% of the time he is online.

While I agree that it is concerning, WARP doesn't decrypt your traffic unless you sign in to ZeroTrust, enable it in your dashboard and install their CA. Not much you can do about them having decrypted traffic for sites that use them.
