It's interesting how people react first when you start acting different, doing little things like picking up garbage you didn't throw on the ground. Even my kids went: Why are YOU picking this up, you didn't do it? I just ask

I use immich to backup my photos and MyPhoneExplorer to backup my data (contacts, files, etc ). MyPhoneExplorer is Windows only but works via wifi. I'm thinking about switching to nextcloud / ente.io but this will take some time.

It may be a good start to write something in go, e.g. a command line tool. Start from scratch. If you make it open source you can show it to potential employers... First focus on shipping (goreleaser), then on improving the code (unit and I

Some of my friends own Framework Notebooks and are pretty happy with it. I also did some testing and was convinced. If my lenovo T480s had any unfixable problems, I would have bought one myself, but this thing just refuses to die ;) If I co

There is also a video about PCEm with a reference to 86box from LTT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWEE2RJj3YI Found this pretty interesting how to use in practise.

86box seems to be the successor of PCem, a GUI Emulator that is capable of emulating full Hardware (incl. Settings and BIOS/firmware) via GUI selection. I use it for old games, because emulating of 3dfx and similar is also possible in
