Well, I was also thinking about (but didn't write) that most mission-critical systems aren't written in javascript :) ... but rather something "ancient" like ada or pascal.

This was the case (being tired by training), and eating properly, in the proper time before exercies, was what totally changed the situation, for me. Not sure about the carbs though (except sugar, which I try to avoid taking in excess). I r

The forums (and I think wiki) etc are astonishingly up-to-date though in my experience, and I have mostly got a useful answer in the forum within an hour or so, so I would say, don't judge the book by the cover :)

Btw, a shoutout to the awesome OmniPascal project, which allows you to write Delphi and FreePascal in the Visual Studio Code editor (when you are not building GUI apps, and and/or don't need a full blown visual IDE, or just for na

For a latex editor that lets you write correct latex insanely fast (through excellent latex autocompletion), have a look at inftyeditor [1]. Don't get fooled by the crappy website. It is a very handy and to-the-point piece of software.

Awesome! I had this problem that my side-project (a vagrant box for Go development in vim) got more stars than my main and favorite project (thing written in Go). This will fix that.

I have moved part-time from vim to vscode, for Go work. Some reasons: - Having the full type info for every single thing in the code with simply hovering over it (not just when typing) - Ability to "peak at definition", to get a l

It's a bit interesting that Cloudera went the opposite way than Spotify and fitted Google's Java API on top of Spark instead (so, changed the backend instead of the "frontend") [1]. [1] https://github.com/

The reason is a practical one: Struct fields will show up in auto-completion. This is in our experience surprisingly important when doing iterative workflow development, to lower the amount of silly typo errors, which can waste a lot of clu
