My SE battery will cost $80 to replace, but since I only paid $120 for the phone it's not a good deal. I'll just wait a bit and get another used SE for $120 when the battery life gets too annoying. I doubt that many other customer

My kids did not learn, perhaps because new kids kept coming to learn the lesson. And they generally can't connect a non-working disc to a specific act. Instead, a disc stops working after dozens of cumulative actions. We never replaced

Which countries make Jury Nullification a constitutional right for defendants? I looked at the wikipedia article (US section), and it only refers to it as power possessed by a jury.

Setting up git is the easy part. We all used it. Except the owner of the company who would fix bugs in prod and not tell anyone. Then next release we'd unintentionally un-fix those bugs because the fixes never made it back to source co

My first impression is the dark mode color contrast is poor compared to VSCode defaults (I tested a few things with CCA Colour Contrast Analyser). I'm sure this is all configurable but it was off-putting to me. I'm still intereste

I think 999 of those databases are the same data set. I lost a password ten years ago from a blog breach and I get almost a monthly notification about it showing up again and again.

They can still sell it. We shouldn't assume because the webservers were shut down that everything is deleted and gone. When the article says it's "gone" they mean it is no longer available to the public.

I think you are talking about Usability here. Usability: This button is hard to understand and/or confusing to operate. Accessibility: I cannot operate the button AT ALL, cannot perceive it, or can only do so using advanced assistive t

I don't know that it's true that moving a lot means you work with more people. I'm at my current company 10 years. From being here 10 years I now know tons of people who came here for 2 years and left. Not to mention all the

Yeah, agree, but they don't have to cancel the disparagement clause. They could just eat the PR hit. Allowing former employees to talk freely seems risky to me (if I were them). I think we can give them back 5 points for this move but

I also read the article and felt that the tone was weird. Much of what's described is unsurprising in a for-profit business. The fact that these big companies are willing to publish so many unprofitable books seems like a good thing to

I was trained in North Carolina and our trainers explained that don't-attach was a traditional method that is now widely disproven. Encouraging attachment is now strongly recommended even though reunification is still Plan A.
