This is awesome and all, but I don't understand how it will support itself? Unlike Matrix which has plenty of money from government contracts (and venture capitalist money, which kinda sucks but whatever), I don't see how a centra

Just wanted to point out that Matrix is getting native voice/video calls (for multi people, it already works with 1:1 calls) soon, as well as voice rooms (they've already been designed and the design shown off, just not implemente

Not to come off like an ass, but honestly when I read 'rust' I laughed. If you knew how the founders of Sway feel about rust + the difficulties people have had with creating rust wayland compositors (particularly with wlroots), th

Cozette covers the most AFAIK. Really good for symbols and such in a highly customised neovim setup. https://github.com/slavfox/Cozette

On Linux, I found it to be super slow. TUI apps like neovim were sluggish in certain contexts. I couldn't figure out how to increase text throughput either. The developer seems more focussed on maintaining MacOS performance (I'm n

> without the ability to self host is a dead end Indeed, this is why you would be foolish to use Ente as you cannot self host it. At any point they can choose to lock things down, make their clients closed source, etc etc, and you'd

Maya crashes all the time. Go on any social media and search 'maya crash' and you'll find plenty of art students and hobbyists complaining about how often it crashes, some losing their work. I even read from one artist I foll

My friend's been running LineageOS with Microg[0], I'm waiting on a Pixel so I can run CalyxOS (with Microg) because I'm not keen on the security downsides of Lineage. He says it's been an incredibly stable set up. Graph

(So this turned into a log rant... sorry) Nope, sadly not! People are complacent and unwilling to make a change due to the convience of it. Most people are unwilling to leave the online friends behind that refuse to join you on more ethical

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing this. I didn't know we were this close to viable linux phones. There's those tiny handful of android apps you may need and this pretty much solves it. I wonder if microg is working in waydroid?
