HTTPS for the marketing site increases page load times; there's no real reason to force people just browsing by to a secured server. The app itself, of course, is secure; it's just on a different subdomain: https://secure.blueleaf.com/sig

I'm actually going to disagree with the "don't date evergreen content", at least for us. Because we're writing about financial information, we're going to datestamp revisions because we want someone who comes to us via Google/Bing/DDG to k

Seconding Berlin. Even though it's in Germany, the lingua franca in the startup community there is English. Quite a few London-based VCs swing through Berlin regularly. Off the top of my head, Soundcloud is a Berlin-based company with a

I'm more upset that the Consumerist doesn't know that Puerto Rico has no Representatives in the House. (Or Senators, or anything really. Of course, they probably could if they wanted to but they keep voting to retain their commonwealth st

Rapportive is YC? I had no fucking clue. I signed up in March with the other 10,000 (yes, 10,000) who did in their first 24 hours. (EDIT: I originally said 30K; their blog says it was merely 10K in first 24 hours. My bad.)
