How is a multi-national company (aka large enterprise) worried about "lack of competitiveness"? Isn't this what they all want? Or maybe they're complaining about the lack of startups that they can acquire?

There's a paper associated with it that you can read on your phone. And I don't think demo videos are really associated with "research". I agree they could've added both, but let's be honest here you'll ha

I'd argue that having a "download and run" approach is so much better than videos or demos. Why do you think this is a problem?

Yeah well Sony already has the biggest gaming marketplace to back that up. Everyone else doesn't have this.

What's so obvious about it? Literally every BIG_CORP except Apple has tried (and failed) at this.

Why are all these companies bidding on this? Is there a bubble of headset users that I’m not aware of?

IMO the only good thing is it made people aware of what's happening with their data online. But then we are still tracked, the web experience is much worse, SMEs got another "screw you" from the regulator by increasing their

I don't know how the experience is in US, but in EU it's because GDPR is a complete failure of a law which doesn't actually solve any problem.

Speaking of "AI Battles", the conversation I'd like to see more is about how these 2 giants are crushing entire industries in their search for higher stock prices. Far more interesting than Bard vs. ChatGPT imo.

It's not that simple unfortunately. Some jobs have onboarding, which can last for weeks or even months. While in theory you can figure out if you're being screwed by an employee during onboarding, it would make the entire process

So does the entire group of “tech reviews” creators on YouTube. Finding an actual review of a product has become impossible, since most videos are just the guy basically reading the product landing page with some nice angles on camera. Ban

Since there are some comments that seem to misunderstand it (clickbait title also btw), this is about "papers reporting publicly funded research".

Minimalism for the sake of minimalism is just as bad as the concept described in the article. For example I find your blog very easy to read but very hard to navigate. I don't understand its structure, I can't find any menus and I

Love articles like this because I know there's some manager somewhere who will read this and force it upon their team without having any idea if it's good or not. And in 3 years we'll have people from those teams complaining

Kind reminder that while a few people might be concerned and act upon this, the vast majority simply don't care and will opt into anything the program asks them to.

I strongly disagree with most of the points in this article. Why does he blame small app developers for vendor lock-in? Why is everyone casually avoiding the fact that vendor lock-in comes from.. vendors? You think I want to rewrite the sam

We never reached quality on mobile UX for websites. Not because it can't be done (see Wikipedia or apple.com) but because it seems like we don't want it. Social media websites are total crap, presumably because they want you to us

Does anyone know what software they use to make these short demo videos? I see them in lots of app landing pages and I'm curious how to make them.
