What about DO App Platform? I was thinking of trying that next. I’ve read a lot about slow build times and random build failures, but at the same time they at least seem to be actively developing the service.

Youch. I have paid apps and free apps (staticman comment processing, and very simple apps I create while following learning tutorials). This project sounds bad! I’ve been slowly exploring alternatives, and was about to abandon my search due

You were responding to someone saying that Tesla’s autopilot is safer (based on crash stats per million miles), not FSD. FSD and autopilot are two different features.

I haven’t experienced a failed build in a few years. I did try a heroku competitor recently and my builds failed. And there was no detailed log to show why. So I couldn’t troubleshoot it and I immediately gave up! As an aside, I was really

> Vector basemaps don't have this problem I was about to firmly disagree, but perhaps my issue is that I've been assuming XYZ tiles were vector. Maybe _some_ are vector, based on the connection? If I'm remembering right, I

My current job has pretty low standards for maps in reports, and unfortunately QGIS has a dealbreaker issue: I'd like to just import a basemap, display my data on top, and then export as an image; however, in QGIS the resolution of the

I moved to Seattle from Southern California, with a motorcycle as my transport, and I lasted one month before I moved away. It drizzled every single day.

I don’t think the iOS one is too terrible. I use it with autocorrect turned off. Predictably, it gets worse the faster I swipe, so I’ve found that it pays to slow down and be slightly more precise. It got every word in that comment correct

Substack has the unfriendliest login process of any service I use. And I’m disappointed to see no improvement in the app. When the app is first installed, why can’t I just login with an email and password? Why is “we’ll send you an email wi

I mean, mine too. I’m very disappointed and worried about this. I’m less worried about the possible tech changes than I am about supporting a crappy company that I hate.

Yes, “music purchases are not available on your device” or some such. Apple’s terms forbids them from saying it’s due to Apple’s policy. Furthermore the Apple policy forbids them from directly linking to the website purchase page. I’m sure

The search is laughably bad. Searching for an exact album title, when that album is on a label’s page, will often have no results. Luckily search engines know what’s up!

I’m with you. Never heard of this Epic Games company. This is worrying. I fell behind on downloading all of my 426 purchases on bandcamp, but now I feel a strong desire to catch up.
