This is great! I've looking for a nice way to have interactive charts on my blog. I used Plotly but quickly discovered that they only support 500 views per day. Ended up just having pngs which isn't ideal

This is awesome. Clojure has had similar frameworks for a while, but Clojure has a fairly steep learning curve. Really excited to try this in Scala. Wonder if this will be a new trend away from the totally separate webapp + rest API model..

It occurred to be that with 2 factor authentication, the server needs to hold on the the secret key. If that is leaked, the 2 factor is useless.[1] Contrast this with salted hashing where leaking the hash doesn't directly lead to compr

It actually may be an order as you suggest -- the difference gets bigger as the tree gets bigger. I just stopped benchmarking at about 300MB of data where the perf was almost 2x. If you run it on a 1GB tree it might be 4x

OP here. It is admittedly a little hairy. The place to start is https://github.com/rcoh/treelayout/blob/8adb9bb9727bdaee671d... The rough idea is that we layout the top chunk, then the bottom chunks, and then

OP here. This is funny. On the rest of my blog post I use indices. For this post, I went with indexes because that's what PG calls them in the docs. I feel your pain.

Hugo plus Netlify is perfect. Did that recently. Pushing to GitHub deploys. There's a link to the source in the footer: https://rcoh.me

I recently decided to move from Svtble elsewhere. I looked at medium briefly but wasn't super thrilled. I ended up with using Hugo and hosting it with Netlify. Pushing to GitHub publishes my blog , it looks pretty nice and I have total

I think it's a bit ironic that the text, in a sense, blames Google for these problems by calling them the "Google Project Zero Exploits" as if Google was some sort of cyber crime syndicate using their evil powers to exploit i

I guess it implies a 1-1 or similar conversion without optimizations or multiple levels of intermediate representation. GCC certainly doesn't "transpile" in that case...

One thing to keep in mind with Postgres is that unique key indices can lead to deadlock and stall other transactions that insert the same key.[1] I wouldn't say "unique constraints considered harmful" but I would definitely s
