I recently decided to move from Svtble elsewhere. I looked at medium briefly but wasn't super thrilled. I ended up with using Hugo and hosting it with Netlify. Pushing to GitHub publishes my blog , it looks pretty nice and I have total control over it. And most importantly, as the author notes, it's "my blog", hosted on my site with links to hire me. Definitely way more enjoyable, and as a result I blog a lot more.
