Wolves seem somewhat scary in a different way in that they can work together. I just posted that link since someone asked. I would be inclined to guess this won't be a big issue while the numbers are relatively small and there is plent

Just to emphasize, indeed "look at the numbers". The gap between 2014 and 2022 is about 2/100,000--that is over 6000 people. This isnt some statistical anomaly---it is a real increase. Crime is going up.

That chart shows exactly what I said, we have the highest rates since the mid 90s and there is a clear upward trend since 2014 (ten years ago now). Thats not "playing games"---its a lot more true than what the OP said.

What I said is true, and what the op said is false and the stats you posted show this. What is actually misleading is saying something outright false like the OP. The homicide rate is higher than it has been since the mid 90s. People are wo

20-25,000 murders per year. Around 40,000 fatal car crashes. Around 5-7000 fatal accidents involving pedestrians. Everyone excited about waymo but opposed to gun and knife wielding security robots.

I am pretty dubious of this based on the age distribution of deaths (most were over 65 and 50-65 is the only bracket with large numbers who werent below retirement age--average is 61) but thank you for providing a counter argument with data

The people who died would have mostly been retired or lower productivity. Shouldnt impact labor costs much. Age pyramid definitely would though.

Well, you have insurance, facilities, logistics. Local area matters a lot. For each family there should be some point, a little below the lower earners salary probably, where they'd rather just stay home themselves than pay for care. T

Lots of theories here but if you point out there are more immigrants than new house starts every year, you get flagged. The real source of the problem is people with vacation homes.
