I’ve done it. I got extremely ripped and looked great, but actual performance suffered and I started feeling pretty terrible. I like how carbs solve those problems for me. However, if I’m doing 6+ hour efforts, I just eat fats and around ho

You’re correct here. The long, low intensity type work lends itself to ketosis well, but power and strength not quite as much. This is because of the metabolic availability of energy from the two pathways. To throw my own anecdotes in, I’ve

I used to use Instagram quite a bit. Got really frustrated with the vapidness and pointlessness of it. When I gave it up, I just felt like this weight had been lifted. No need to look at how cool others’ lives seem to be, just time to live

As an exmo, I think that sub is toxic and unhealthy and a terrible way to find balanced views. Very off topic from the article but I like to put that plug in wherever I can.

I looked into this but hadn't gotten to the point of using them when I made the switch. I may go back and try it out to see how it goes. Thanks for the encouragement.

I did say I had a fantastic model with Tensorflow. I gave up after a while because I didn't have time to hack on that stuff. I wouldn't mind learning to and trying it out, but the nature of the small company meant I needed to find

Late reply, but it was a bug using XLA GPUs to add concurrency to the training process. Maybe someone figured it out or fixed it, but I've moved on already.

I agree with this. At some point during my "struggle" with depression, I realized it's just who I am. Severe depression should be treated, sure. But this "mild depression" in my mind is more of a personality trait t

Piercing the veil... what an appropriate turn of phrase. I resonate a lot with your third paragraph. I also think it can be rude and unnecessary to expose people to this paradigm if they're not ready. It's a bad analogy, but it&#x

There's a little more on the subject of realists vs non-realists in the book "Thinking Fast and Slow" if the topic interests you. He doesn't link it to depression, but it's still quite an interesting read.
